Real Madrid head to Stamford Bridge looking to overturn Chelsea’s advantage

London/Madrid, May 4 (EFE).- Real Madrid have arrived in London for the second-leg of a Champions League semi-final against Chelsea on Wednesday night.

The London hosts have a slight advantage at Stamford Bridge thanks to Christian Pulisic’s away goal during the 1-1 draw in the first-leg in Madrid.

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema drew the first-leg level with a stunning equalizer.

Plagued by injuries this year, the 13-time Champions League winners Real Madrid will welcome the return from injury of captain Sergio Ramos given that Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane and Lucas Vazquez were all ruled out for the match.

Speaking ahead of the match, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel said: ”The main lesson is that we can trust ourselves and we have the right to be in the semi-final. We deserve to be there and perform on this level.”

On the potential return of Ramos to the pitch, he added: “Will Ramos play? This is a tough question because I simply don’t know. Does it make a difference? Yes, a lot. It’s the captain of the most successful team in recent years.”EFE
