Trump vs. Hillary: segundo round

Trump vs. Hillary: Round Two

ENGLISH:

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton recently had their second presidential debate, the highly anticipated sequel to last month’s spectacle. With election season in full swing, both candidates are working hard to secure the confidence of the public.

A heated face-off, the second debate made their previous debate look cordial and friendly. Both candidates were very focused on the truth and public perception of their statements.

Organized in a town-hall style, both candidates, but especially Trump, had difficulty connecting with the crowd they were speaking to. Both candidates got sidetracked attacking each other’s statements while failing to answer the original questions.

Much like the last debate, neither candidate remained unscathed. Trump had no response for his “locker-room banter” besides constant apology, and also was completely blindsided by his running mate Mike Pence’s statements on the war in Syria, which completely contradicted his own. Hillary also could not find a response for certain parts of the debate, especially when Trump brought up Bill Clinton’s impeachment.

Though this debate may seem like an exact copy of the last one, those involved and everyone watching were very focused on fact. As news outlets and political websites start offering their different fact-checkers, you need to be careful. Many of these websites load their own politics into their “fact-checking,” and accepting these analyses as fact without further research is just foolish. Fact-check the fact-checkers!
