Washington, Nov 20 (EFE).- At least five people were killed and 18 were injured in a shooting at a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, police said Sunday.
The shooting occurred shortly before midnight on Saturday and a suspect has been arrested and was being treated for injuries, officer Pamela Castro told a press conference.
In a statement, Club Q, which describes itself as an “adult-oriented gay and lesbian nightclub hosting theme nights such as karaoke, drag shows & DJs,” said it was “devastated by the senseless attack on our community.”
“We thank the actions of heroic customers that subdued the gunman and ended this hate attack,” the club added. EFE
