At least four dead in Los Angeles shooting
Los Angeles, United States, March 31 (efe-epa).- At least four people, including a minor, died Wednesday in an office building shooting in the United States.
One person was injured and taken to hospital, according to Orange County authorities, south of Los Angeles.
The alleged attacker was also injured and taken to hospital under custody. His condition remained unknown as of publication time.
Jennifer Amat, Orange Police Department spokeswoman, told local media that the shooting occurred at about 5.30 pm local time (00.30 on Thursday GMT) and that the alleged attacker opened fire following the arrival of law enforcement.
“… the Orange Police Department responded to a call of shots fired at 202 W. Lincoln Ave. Officers arrived as shots were being fired and located multiple victims at the scene including fatalities,” the department said Wednesday in a Facebook statement, adding that the situation had been brought under control.
The attack’s circumstances and motives remained unknown as of press time.
The shooting comes a week after a gunman killed 10 people in a Colorado supermarket in the largest such incident in two years.
