Sports Desk, Jan 31 (efe-epa).- Goals from Spaniards César Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso handed Chelsea its first win since Thomas Tuchel took over as head coach of the London club.
Captain Azpilicueta opened the scoring against Burnley in the 40th minute, collecting an assist from English winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Alonso scored a skillful goal in the 84th minute to seal the victory for the Blues. The Spaniard collected a pass from Christian Pulisic with his chest, brought it onto his knee then fired the ball beyond Nick Pope on the volley.
It was the first win for Chelsea since the sacking of Frank Lampard as head coach and the three points put them up into seventh place in the Premier League. EFE
