Los Angeles, USA, Apr 21 (EFE).- On a spaceship headed to Mars, an astronaut, a doctor and a scientist embark on a long mission to space only to find an unplanned crew member on board their ship as they gradually move away from Earth in sci-fi thriller Stowaway, starring US actress Anna Kendrick.

“Space is a great source of wonder, mystery and adventure,” Kendrick says during an interview with Efe.

Best known for musical comedy film series Pitch Perfect and comedy film Up in the Air, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2009, Kendrick takes up a new role in Stowaway, dramatically reflecting on sacrifice, duty and cooperation.

Stowaway, which premieres on Netflix on Thursday, is directed by Brazilian filmmaker Joe Penna, with Daniel Dae Kim, Shamier Anderson and Toni Collette, starring the drama alongside Kendrick. EFE
