Blackpink’s Jisoo to make solo debut in 2023

Seoul, Jan 2 (EFE).- Blackpink member Jisoo will make her solo debut this year, the K-pop group’s agency YG Entertainment announced on Monday.

“BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is currently working hard on recording her solo album,” it said.

“While carrying out a busy world tour schedule since last year, she finished the album cover photo shoot and worked on music production whenever she got the time in order to keep the promise to fans. She will greet [fans] soon with good news.”

The other three members of the quartet, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, have already made their debut as solo artists in previous years and in September the group released their latest studio album “Born Pink,” featuring great hits such as “Pink Venom,” the video for which has nearly 500 million views.

In 2021, the solo works published by Rosé (who released “R” in March) and Lisa (who released “Lalisa” in September) were huge sales successes.

Also in September, Blackpink became the most subscribed artist on YouTube, surpassing Justin Bieber, and now has more than 83 million subscribers. EFE
