Biden ends isolation after second negative Covid-19 test
Washington, Aug 7 (EFE).- United States president Joe Biden ended isolation Sunday and will resume public engagements after testing negative for Covid-19, the White House reported.
“This morning, the President’s SARS-CoV-2 antigen testing was negative for a second consecutive day,” the president’s physician, Kevin O’Connor, wrote in a statement.
“He will safely return to public engagement and presidential travel,” he added.
Biden had already tested negative on Saturday but was kept in isolation until testing negative a second time.
On Sunday, the president left the White House for the first time in two weeks to travel to Delaware where he usually spends weekends in the summer.
Biden is scheduled to travel with the first lady to the state of Kentucky Monday, where recent flooding has left dozens dead, to oversee rescue efforts and provide support to affected families. EFE
