Mbappe to miss Champions League game vs Bayern with injury

Paris, Feb 2 (EFE).- Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe will miss the upcoming Champions League clash against Bayern Munich with a thigh injury that will sideline him for three weeks, the French club said Thursday.

“After undergoing tests, Kylian Mbappe suffered an injury to the left thigh at the level of the femoral biceps,” PSG said in a statement.

The 24-year-old France international sustained his injury Wednesday following a collision with Montpellier’s Leo Leroy.

In addition to the Bayern clash, Mbappe will also miss the French Cup match against Olympique de Marseille next week.

Defender Sergio Ramos had to leave the Montpellier game due to an adductor injury. According to the club, the former Real Madrid player will undergo additional tests to further determine the injury.

PSG is set to host in the Champions League round of 16 first tie against Bayern on February 14.EFE
