Brazil’s Casemiro praises Vinicius, Rodrygo ahead of World Cup qualifier against Venezuela

São Paulo, Oct 11 (EFE).- Brazilian midfielder Casemiro on Tuesday heaped praise on teammates Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes ahead of Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Venezuela later this week.

Casemiro played with Vinicius and Rodrygo for Real Madrid before moving to Manchester United.

Speaking to reporters, Casemiro admitted his great affection for the two players as well as Real Madrid’s central defender Eder Militão, who is currently absent from the Brazilian team due to injury.

Vinicius and Rodrygo are both expected to start Thursday’s match against Venezuela, the third leg of South American qualifiers for the World Cup in Canada, the United States, and Mexico in 2026.

Casemiro, one of the most experienced players at coach Fernando Diniz’s disposal, is also certain to be in the starting lineup.

Casemiro also praised the mix of youth and experience in the lineup of the five-time world champions.

Brazil are now jointly leading the qualifying campaign in South America with six points, alongside Argentina.

Colombia are in third place, having collected four points thanks to a win and a draw.

Brazil beat Bolivia 5-1 and Peru 1-0 in their previous two matches of the qualifying campaign. EFE
