Belarus activist found dead in park in Ukraine

Moscow, Aug 3 (EFE).- The leader of Belarusian House in Ukraine (BDU), a humanitarian organization that helps people flee from Belarus, was found dead in a park, the Kiev police said Tuesday.

Vitaly Shishov, who went missing while out on a jog on Monday, was found hanged in a park near his home in the Ukrainian capital a day later.

The police have opened a murder investigation into the death of the 26-year-old and suggested that could be a murder disguised as suicide.

The activist had told his colleagues a few days ago that he felt he was being watched and that strangers had tried to engage him in conversation. EFE
