BTS to hold face-to-face concert in Seoul in March

Seoul, Dec 3 (EFE).- South Korean band BTS will hold an in-person concert in Seoul in March, the group announced Friday.

“See you in Seoul, March 2022,” the group said in a short tweet from the handle managed by its label Bit Hit Music.

It also posted recent photos of its members RM, Jimin, V, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, and Jungkook.

The announcement came a day after BTS celebrated the last of the fourth recitals it offered last week in Los Angeles as part of its “Permission to Dance On Stage” tour.

The tour was the group’s first performance in public since 2019 end.

Similarly, the Seoul event, part of the same tour, will be the first off-line concert in the country in more than two years.

BTS had planned to perform its album “Map of the Soul: 7” in April 2020 in Seoul, released in February of that year, in what was to be the first stop of an ambitious world trip – “Map of the Soul Tour.

However, the pandemic outbreak forced the cancellation of the tour and the group could only do online concerts.

A total of about 200,000 people have attended the four long-awaited face-to-face performances of the K-pop band that it finally offered in Los Angeles.

However, the viability of the Seoul concert in March raises some doubts since South Korea has just tightened social restrictions due to a record daily Covid-19 infections and the detection of the new omicron variant of the virus. EFE
