Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA, Aug 22 (efe-epa).- A night of few surprises in the latest round of NBA playoffs with the Milwaukee Bucks, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat walking away with victories in their respective best of seven series.
Meanwhile Oklahoma City took advantage of the Houston Rockets’ inconsistent defense to secure its first playoff victory following defeats in the opening two games.
Point forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was decisive in the Bucks’ 121-107 victory over the Orlando Magic, securing a double-double of 35 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.
The Bucks bagged 2-1 in the series so far with the next game slated for Monday.
Khris Middleton put his uninspiring form in the first two playoffs behind him to take 17 points in the game, as well as eight rebounds and six assists.
Orlando’s James Ennis and the Bucks’ Marvin Williams were ejected after a scuffle in the second period.
DJ. Augustin netted 24 points for the Orlando Magic, while Nikola Vucevic and Terrence Ross took 20 each.
The best attacking combination of the night goes to LeBron James and Anthony Davis for the Lakers in its 116-108 win over the Portland Trail Blazers, securing a 2-1 lead in the series.
James came close to a triple-double with 38 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists as the Trail Blazers’ defense failed to get a handle on the NBA star.
Davis also stood out, claiming 12 of the 29 points in the final quarter.
