Carnival Memphis Donates Funds to Schools and Children’s Organizations

Carnival Memphis dona fondos a escuelas y organizaciones infantiles

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — En la tarde lluviosa del miércoles, 8 de junio, la organización Carnival Memphis entregó $400.000 dólares a tres organizaciones sin fines de lucro del área de Memphis para su Día de Caridad Infantil como culminación de Carnival Week 2022. Las organizaciones sin fines de lucro que recibieron esas generosas donaciones son Memphis Child Advocacy Center, Southern Reins y Compass Community Schools.

Los famosos Boll Weevils junto a un escuadrón de alguaciles en motocicleta del condado de Shelby y la reina del carnaval 2022, estuvieron acompañando a los representantes de las organizaciones mencionadas.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — On the rainy afternoon of Wednesday, June 8, the organization Carnival Memphis present over a quarter of a million dollars to three Memphis-area non-profits for their Children’s Charities Day as the culmination of Carnival Week 2022 ends. The nonprofits that will be impacted by these generous donations are Memphis Child Advocacy Center, Southern Reins, and Compass Community Schools.

The famous Boll Weevils, along with a Shelby County motorcycle sheriff’s squad and the 2022 Carnival Queen, were accompanying the representatives of the aforementioned organizations.

“We’re thrilled to be able to donate $400,000 to local organizations like Child Advocacy Center, Southern Reins, and Compass Community Schools so they can continue their vital work and serve children across the Mid-South. We are also proud to announce that with matching funds we have donated a total of $4 million Memphis-area children’s charities since 1999,” said Ed Galfsky, Executive Director of Carnival Memphis, “Carnival Memphis has a long history of working to improve the lives of children in the Memphis community and we believe these three partners will continue building on that storied tradition with us.”

The ceremony was held in the gardens of Compass Community Schools, with entertainment and snacks for the attendees.
