Chanel goes back to 90s at Paris Fashion Week

Paris, Oct 5 (EFE).- Chanel traveled back in time to revive Paris’ fashion shows in the 1990s as it presented its spring-summer 2022 collection of colorful sequins, swimsuits, bikinis and miniskirts.

The fashion brand had to change its usual fashion show location, which usually takes place in the Grand Palais, to a venue next to the Eiffel Tower.

With great secrecy, Chanel recreated a dark space around a golden, elevated catwalk surrounded by a large number of guests and dozens of photographers.

The collection opened with a low-cut white swimsuit over a black knitted T-shirt and loaded with long chains like necklaces, combined with the house’s two-color ballerinas, also in black and white.

The bikinis’ tops were repeated combined with”culottes” type shorts, with long buttoned skirts and translucent mini dresses.

Violet and bubblegum pink reigned on the Parisian catwalk, as well as the brand’s star binomial: white and black.

Chanel concluded Paris Fashion Week which lasted for nine days in which the coronavirus pandemic seemed to be history for the fashion industry. EFE
