Aeroflot suspends all international flights except from Minsk

Moscow, Mar 5 (EFE).- Russian airline Aeroflot said on Saturday it would suspend all international flights, with the exception of Minsk, from March 8 due “to unforeseen circumstances”.

On February 27, the airline had already canceled all flights to European destinations in response to many European countries, Canada and the United States closing their airspace for Russian aircrafts in protest of the invasion of Ukraine.

In a statement on their website, the airline said that passengers on canceled international flights can request a full refund of the ticket.

“For passengers who will still be abroad when flights end, the airline will make every effort to arrange their return to Russia,” it said.

On Friday, Russia’s S7 Airlines also announced the cancellation of all its international flights starting Saturday. EFE
