Memphis in May Announces Complete Lineup for the 2020 Beale Street Music Festival

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Luego de casi dos meses de espera, tras haber anunciado la primera ronda de artistas en diciembre, la Organización de Memphis in May finalmente dio a conocer el miércoles, 12 de febrero, la lista completa de los cantantes y bandas que se estarán presentando en el Festival Musical de Beale Street 2020.

Entre los artistas más famosos que figuran en la lista están Weezer, The Smashing Pumpkins, The 1975, DaBaby, 311, Deftones, Leon Bridges, Lindsey Buckingham, Louis the Child, Nelly, Portugal. The Man, Brittany Howard, Liam Gallagher, Moneybagg Yo, Young Dolph, Al Kapone, The Lumineers, Lil Wayne, The Avett Brothers, Three 6 Mafia, AJR, Young Dolph, Rival Sons, Mavis Staples, Billy Strings, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Taj Mahal y Sheer Mag. Aprovechando que el país honrado este año es Ghana, Memphis in May estará presentando también durante su Festival Musical de Beale Street a dos grandes artistas ghaneses: Sarkodie, un famoso rapero que ha ganado múltiples premios y que ha sido reconocido dos veces como el Artista del Año de África; y Stonebwoy, quien fue nombrado como Mejor Artista Masculino del 2019 en los African Entertainment Awards.

Among the most famous artists that will be performing this year are Weezer, The Smashing Pumpkins, The 1975, DaBaby, 311, Deftones, Leon Bridges, Lindsey Buckingham, Louis the Child, Nelly, Portugal. Honoring Memphis in May’s salute to Ghana this year, the festival will be featuring two Ghanaian superstar artists as well: Sarkodie, a multiple award-winning rapper who has been recognized twice as Africa’s Artist of the Year; and Stonebwoy, who was named 2019’s Best Male Artist at the African Entertainment Awards.

Named as one of the best music festivals in the country, the Beale Street Music Festival is distinguished for offering a great diversity of musical genres, including rock, blues, soul, pop, R&B, hip hop, indie, and country, among other rhythms. Over the past decade, it has attracted more than 1.1 million people from all over the world.

The 2020 Beale Street Music Festival will be held from Friday, May 1, through Sunday, May 3, at Tom Lee Park (Downtown). Tickets are already on sale at eventbrite.com for $55 (single-day passes) and $145 (three-day passes). There are also limited VIP tickets available for $699.
