Christ Community to Offer COVID-19 Testing on Saturday, Oct. 24
Christ Community Health Services hará pruebas de COVID-19 el sábado, 24 de octubre

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Christ Community Health Services will have a drive-thru to test for COVID-19 on Saturday, October 24. The event will be from 9 a.m. at 12 p.m. at the testing site located on Lamar Avenue (Christ Community’s Lamar COVID-19 testing site, 1720 RKS Commercial Cove).
The ability to offer COVID-19 testing on Saturdays allows essential workers as well as parents, teachers and those who wish to be tested to do so, as they may find it difficult to do so on weekdays due to work. “Our goal is to ensure that anyone who desires a test can get a test,” said Shayla Williamson, Chief Nursing and Quality Officer. “We encourage anyone that works outside the home, or has regular contact with individuals outside their immediate family to get a COVID-19,” added Williamson.
Christ Community also tests for COVID-19 through a drive-thru at their clinic located in Hickory Hill (5366 Mendenhall Mall) on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 2 p.m. at 4 p.m.
Although it is not necessary to make an appointment, it is recommended to send a text message to 91999 with the word “test2020”, or call 901-842-3160.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Christ Community Health Services tendrá un drive-thru para hacer pruebas de COVID-19 el sábado, 24 de octubre. El evento será de 9 a.m. a 12 p.m. en el centro de pruebas ubicado en Lamar Avenue (Christ Community’s Lamar COVID-19 testing site, 1720 RKS Commercial Cove).
La posibilidad de ofrecer pruebas de COVID-19 durante los sábados permite que tanto los trabajadores esenciales como los padres, maestros y aquellas personas que deseen hacerse la prueba lo hagan, ya que tal vez se les dificulte hacerlo durante los días entre semana por el horario de trabajo. “Nuestro objetivo es garantizar que cualquier persona se haga la prueba si así lo desea”, dijo Shayla Williamson, directora de Enfermería y Calidad en Christ Community Health Services. “Alentamos a cualquier persona que trabaje fuera del hogar o que tenga contacto regular con personas fuera de su familia inmediata a obtener una prueba de COVID-19”, agregó Williamson.
Christ Community también realiza pruebas de COVID-19 a través de un drive-thru en su clínica ubicada en Hickory Hill (5366 Mendenhall Mall) los martes, miércoles y jueves por la tarde, de 2 p.m. a 4 p.m.
Aunque no es necesario hacer cita, se recomienda enviar un mensaje de texto al 91999 con la palabra “test2020”, o llamar al 901-842-3160.
