Town of Collierville Lights Up the Square for Christmas
COLLIERVILLE, TN (LPL / TOC) — La ciudad de Collierville está colocando 129.000 luces LED blancas alrededor de la Plaza de la Ciudad, que son más brillantes y más eficientes energéticamente que las luces incandescentes usadas en el pasado. COLLIERVILLE, TN (LPL/TOC) — Collierville is stringing 129,000 LED pure white lights around Town Square which are brighter and more energy efficient than the incandescent lights used in the past. 400 C9 LED multicolor lights will be added to the Town Square Christmas Tree bringing the grand total of 4,500 lights to the 30 foot cedar tree. Speaking of trees, the additional 18 foot Christmas Tree will be placed at the corner of North Rowlett and Main Street that will be covered in 1,125 RGB lights that are programmed to create animated light shows coordinated with music. Both trees will also be adorned with large red and gold ornaments.
The Town will continue chugging along stringing lights on the Executive Rail Car sitting next to the Depot Visitors Center. 500 C9 LED pure white lights will light up the train for the first time this year.
The Town of Collierville has many festive events planned under the enchanting lights of Town Square. Christmas in Collierville Saturdays begin November 24, with Santa in the gazebo from 10 am – 2 pm (bring your camera!), carriage rides around the Square 10 am – 4 pm, Shop Local Saturday double decker bus rides to/from Town Square and Carriage Crossing 10 am – 4pm, and hot chocolate available in the Depot Visitors Center; these activities are all free.
