Meet Paul Cifuentes, One of the Latin Artists at Carden International Circus

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — El gran Circo Internacional Carden estará en Memphis el próximo fin de semana para presentar un show totalmente nuevo que incluye una edición de superhéroes: “Spectacular Circus”.
Para conocer un poco más los detalles de este espectáculo circense, La Prensa Latina tuvo una entrevista exclusiva con Paul Cifuentes, uno de los muchos artistas latinos (más del 80%) que forman parte de la familia del Circo Carden.
Nacido en Chile, Cifuentes viene de una familia que se ha dedicado al circo por generaciones -él viene siendo de la tercera generación. Desde los 12 años de edad, el joven artista ha estado practicando sus actos diariamente, y sin falta, para poder así lograr un dominio absoluto sobre los mismos y ofrecerle al público una actuación única e impresionante. Esto es considerando que sus actos requieren de mucha concentración, seguridad y equilibrio, ya que se trata del péndulo de la muerte (Wheel of Death) y el alambre alto (High Wire); también realiza algunos actos de trapecio.
Con respecto al circo en sí, Cifuentes indicó que éste es “uno de los pocos shows grandes y clásicos que viajan por Estados Unidos y entretienen a la gente”. De la misma manera, destacó que el Circo Carden todavía tiene actos con animales (elefantes, leones, tigres, caballos, ponis, camellos, perros, etc.), a los cuales se les da el máximo cuidado y la mejor alimentación para procurar así que siempre estén en perfecto estado de salud.
Por si fuera poco, el Circo Carden también presenta un acto con un gorila y un oso polar, aunque estos animales no son reales.
Otros de los actos que el famoso circo de más de 50 años tiene son los de acrobacia y, obviamente, los de comedia con los simpáticos payasos. En fin, es un circo completo para toda la familia.
Dicho esto, el “Spectacular Circus” es un show imperdible de casi dos horas que tendrá cinco funciones, del 11 al 13 de octubre, en el Agricenter International ShowPlace Arena, ubicado en el 105 S. Germantown Pkwy. Cordova, TN 38018.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — The great Carden International Circus will be in Memphis next weekend to present a new show that includes a superhero edition: “Spectacular Circus.”
To learn more about the details of this circus, La Prensa Latina had an exclusive interview with Paul Cifuentes, one of the many Latin artists (more than 80%) who are part of the Carden Circus’ family.
Born in Chile, Cifuentes comes from a family that has been dedicated to the circus for generations – he is with the third generation. Since the age of 12, the young artist has been practicing his acts daily in order to achieve absolute mastery and offer the public an impressive performance. This is considering that his acts require a lot of concentration, security and balance, as they are the Wheel of Death and the High Wire; he also does some trapeze acts.
Regarding the circus itself, Cifuentes said that this is “one of the few great and classic shows that travel around the United States and entertain people.” In the same way, he stressed that the Carden Circus still has acts with animals (elephants, lions, tigers, horses, ponies, camels, dogs, etc.), which are given the utmost care and the best food to stay healthy.
As if that were not enough, the Carden Circus also has an attraction with a gorilla and a polar bear, although these animals are not real.
Other acts that the famous circus of more than 50 years has are those with acrobats and aerialists, including the ones with clowns. It really is a complete circus for the whole family.
That being said, the “Spectacular Circus” is a show that you don’t want to miss. It will have five performances, from October 11 to October 13, at the Agricenter International ShowPlace Arena, located at 105 S. Germantown Pkwy. Cordova, TN 38018.
