The European Parliament adopted the EU’s forthcoming Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) earlier in the year, including increased environmental obligations for farmers. MEPs will now have to negotiate with member states and the European Commission and decide by early 2021 on CAP rules, which will apply from January 2023.
