The Dixon Gallery and Gardens Presents “The Real Beauty: The Artistic World of Eugenia Errázuriz”

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Por primera vez en la historia, un museo estadounidense estará presentando una exhibición de arte enfocada en la vida de Eugenia Errázuriz, una mujer nacida en Chile que se convirtió en una de las figuras más importantes en el medio artístico de su época, a principios de la década de 1880, no sólo por su pasión por el arte moderno sino porque gracias a ella se dieron a conocer grandes artistas como Pablo Picasso, por ejemplo.

Asimismo, el Dixon Gallery and Gardens se enorgullece en organizar tal exhibición que, además de contar con pinturas que retratan la “verdadera belleza” de Eugenia Errázuriz, tendrá algunas de las obras de arte que conformaron su extraordinaria colección junto con otras obras de arte que están centradas en sus familiares y amigos, especialmente los Subercaseaux, quienes compartieron su pasión por el arte.

Eugenia Huici Arguedas de Errázuriz llegó a Europa con su esposo, el diplomático y pintor aficionado José Tomás Errázuriz, a principios de la década de 1880. Muy rápidamente, los recién casados ​​Errázuriz comenzaron a hacer su ronda por Europa, convirtiéndose, junto con sus parientes Amalia y Ramón Subercaseaux, en favoritos entre el grupo cosmopolita de artistas de la Europa de fin de siglo. MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — For the first time in history, a U.S. museum will be presenting an art exhibit focused on the life of Eugenia Errázuriz, a woman born in Chile who became one of the most important figures in the artistic medium of her time, at the beginning of the 1880s, not only for her passion for modern art but also because thanks to her great artists like Pablo Picasso, for example, became more successful.
