MEMPHIS, TN (LPL/TPPM) — El Museo Pink Palace ofrecerá una conferencia y una exhibición titulada El Rastro de Lágrimas: Andrew Jackson y la Nación Cherokee hoy jueves, 17 de mayo, en el Pink Palace Museum Discovery Theatre.
La conferencia está acompañada de una exposición de 10 paneles de la vida y el legado de Jackson, comisariada por la Biblioteca y Archivos Estatales de Tennessee. MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) —The Pink Palace Museum will be hosting a lecture and pop-up exhibit entitled The Trail of Tears: Andrew Jackson and the Cherokee Nation today, May 17th at the Pink Palace Museum Discovery Theater.
The lecture is accompanied by a 10-panel exhibition of Jackson’s life and legacy, curated by the Tennessee State Library and Archives. Exhibit highlights include Jackson’s dueling history, his early years in Tennessee, his relationship with Native peoples, and the Age of Jackson. The lecture begins at 6:00 PM, pop-up viewing at 5:30 PM.
Amanda Lee Savage will be the speaker of the lecture, she’s Instructor of History at the University of Memphis. She received her M.A. in History from the College of William & Mary in 2011. Her fields of interest include Early American history, Native American history and Pacific World.
