Iran’s Holy Quran Exhibition returns after two years of pandemic
Tehran, Apr 17 (EFE).- Tehran’s Holy Quran Exhibition returned on Sunday to the Iranian capital after two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Under the motto ”Quran, the Book of Hope and Peace,” the 29th edition will be held in the Imam Khomeini Mosallah mosque in Tehran until April 29.
The event will host 900 exhibitors and expects to receive up to 10,000 visitors per day, organizers said.
From calligraphies, children’s books, theater, and art to video games and conferences, the Holy Quran and its teachings are explored from every angle.
“For Iranians, religion is very important and has a lot of value,” deputy director of public relations, Alireza Moradi, said, adding that people were “enthusiastic” about the exhibition.
The exhibition also explored Iran’s relationship with the West while the image of Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei and founder, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, are omnipresent.
It is the first time in two years that the event is held in person after last year’s edition was held online and in 2020, the event was totally canceled. EFE
