Officials Are Canceling the Mid-South Air Show Due to COVID-19
Autoridades cancelan Show Aeronáutico del Medio Sur debido a COVID-19
MILLINGTON, TN (FOX 13) — The 2020 Mid-South Air Show has been canceled because of the safety concerns of the public due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Air Show was set to happen on June 20 and 21.
The decision was made to cancel the event to coincide with the community, state and federal guidance to suspend or cancel any large gatherings.
Refunds will be provided for those who have already bought tickets for the event. Refunds may take seven to ten business days to be processed.
A release stated:
We are saddened that we have to cancel our favorite event of the year, but want to reiterate that safety is our number one priority and while we understand this news is disappointing to our air show fans, sponsors and supporters, we understand it is the right thing to do.
We want to thank all our sponsors and volunteers for all the hard work that was put into the planning of this incredible event and look forward to the next Midsouth Airshow.

El Air Show estaba programado para el 20 y 21 de junio.

Un comunicado se lee:
“Nos entristece que tengamos que cancelar nuestro evento favorito del año, pero queremos reiterar que la seguridad es nuestra prioridad número uno y, si bien entendemos que esta noticia es decepcionante para nuestros fanáticos, patrocinadores y seguidores del espectáculo aéreo, entendemos que es lo correcto por hacer.
Queremos agradecer a todos nuestros patrocinadores y voluntarios por todo el arduo trabajo realizado en la planificación de este increíble evento y esperamos con ansias el próximo Show Aeronáutico del Medio Sur”.
