Pogba makes Juventus return

Rome, Jul 11 (EFE).- Paul Pogba returned to Juventus on a four-year contract after his six-year Manchester United spell came to an end, the Serie A club announced on Monday.

“Pogba is back and we couldn’t be happier,” the club said in a statement that did not provide further details about the signing. Local media estimated his salary at 8 million euros.

“He left as a boy and returns as a man and a champion, but there is one thing that has not changed — the desire to write unforgettable pages of club history together once more,” the statement read.

Pogba’s senior career began with a one-year Premier League spell with Manchester United, before he joined Juventus in 2012. He returned to the Red Devils in 2016.

In May, the 29-year-old announced he would not extend his Manchester United contract, which expired on 30 June 2022.

The Red Devils, with whom Pogba won three titles including one Europa League and two League Cups, did not make the cut for the Champions League next season.

During his first 4-year Juventus stint, he hoisted nine titles; four Serie A titles, three Italian Super Cups and two Coppa Italia.

The Champions League has so far eluded the reigning FIFA World Cup champion, but he will have another shot at the title with the Italian powerhouse. EFE
