Fire kills 4 Family Members, Including 2 Children

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Four members of a Hispanic family died when their house burned down in the early hours of Tuesday, February 28.
The grandfather, who was 62 years old; the mother, who was 33 years old; and two children, a 10-year-old boy and his brother, who was 8 years old, died in the fire caused by a portable electric space heater, according to the Memphis Fire Department.
The father of the family tried to put out the fire but was injured trying to do so; he is currently in the hospital.
Aiden and Dalton, the little ones who lost their lives, lived with their parents on Par Avenue.
The local authorities are calling on the residents to be more cautious when operating this type of device, as leaving them unattended or using them while damaged can cause a misfortune like this.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Cuatro miembros de una familia hispana murieron al incendiarse su casa en la madrugada del martes, 28 de febrero.
El abuelo, de 62 años; la madre, de 33 años; y dos niños, uno de 10 y otro de 8 años de edad, murieron durante el incendio en Frayser, el cual, según el Departamento de Bomberos de Memphis, fue causado por un aparato de calefacción (calentador) portátil.
El padre de la familia trató de apagar el incendio, pero resultó herido al intentarlo; actualmente, él se encuentra hospitalizado.
Aiden y Dalton, los pequeños que perdieron la vida, vivían con sus padres en la avenida Par.
Las autoridades hicieron un llamado a la población en general para ser cautelosos a la hora de operar ese tipo de aparatos, ya que dejarlos sin atender o utilizarlos dañados puede ocasionar una desgracia como ésta.
