Fishing with poison, an ancestral practice in Assam

Indian tribesmen use poisonous Monso Kuthi fruits for catching Narai, a small variety of fish which tribal people harvest during the paddy harvesting season.

Wild Monso Kuthi fruits are grinded with other wild herbs and put in small cannel in the paddy field to catch the fish.
