Queen Elizabeth cancels online meetings due to mild Covid symptoms

London, Feb 22 (EFE).- Queen Elizabeth II on Tuesday canceled all online engagements due to persistent mild Covid-19 symptoms, a palace spokesperson confirmed.

“As Her Majesty is still experiencing mild cold-like symptoms she has decided not to undertake her planned virtual engagements today, but will continue with light duties,” the Buckingham palace spokesperson said.

The palace added that further engagements would be reviewed in due course.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the 95-year-old monarch tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday, 10 days after her son Prince Charles confirmed he had become infected.

Charles met with his mother in the days before his confirmed diagnosis.

The Queen is hoping to attend three public events next month, including a diplomatic reception at Windsor Castle next week.EFE
