Verstappen takes pole at Bahrain Grand Prix

Sports Desk, Mar 4 (EFE).- Reigning champion Max Verstappen took pole position for the first Grand Prix of the year, capping off a 1-2 with Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez during qualifying in Bahrain Saturday.

The two Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz followed for P3 and P4 ahead of Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso.

Mercedes teammates George Russell and Lewis Hamilton will start from P6 and P7 respectively ahead of Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll, Alpine’s Esteban Ocon and Haas driver Nico Hulkenburg, who completes the top 10 for Sunday’s grid. EFE
