Georgian woman, 111, beats Covid-19

Tbilisi, Sep 6 (EFE).- A 111-year-old Georgian woman has fully recovered from the coronavirus after spending 12 days in a hospital, authorities reported Monday.

“The patient, born in 1910, feels fine. She complied with all medical recommendations and was eager to recover,” said a spokesman for the medical center, where the woman was being treated.

Her son, 80, is still hospitalized with Covid-19, according to hospital sources.

More than 800,000 people in the country have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, while 480,631 have been fully inoculated.

Georgia is currently using jabs from Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, and Sinovac in its vaccination drive.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Georgia has registered 565,957 infections and 7,867 related deaths.EFE
