Ghostbuster fans surprised with early screening of new movie

New York, Oct 9 (EFE).- Hundreds of fans of ‘Ghostbusters’ on Friday couldn’t believe their eyes when they were surprised with an early screening of the highly anticipated new movie ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ at the New York Comic Con.

The surprise screening followed a discussion panel with the movie’s director Jason Reitman and big names from the movie including Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, Logan Kim and Celeste O’Connor.

The fans, who were dressed up as characters from the movie, praised the new film.

“I love the nostalgia of it, but also it does something completely fresh and new, a kids cast, but it works, that is what I loved about it, it just worked, it was absolutely fantastic, ” Damien, fan of Ghostbusters, said after seeing the movie.

“I really enjoyed it, I have a special connection with Ghostbusters, me and my brother used to watch it, he passed away so it was really great to be able to see a film like this with an audience like this,” Asaia Rose, dressed up as marshmallow man, tells Efe.

“The movie is excellent, has such a dedication to the old cast and to what it was back in the 80s, and it is just a phenomenal work by Jason Reitman,” Omar, dressed up as the keymaster, said.

‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ is the third chapter of the mythology and will be released in movie theatres November 11. EFE
