Gran éxito el programa de recolección de llantas

Tire Collection Program: A Success!

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL): Llantas de automóvil representan un grave problema de contaminación a la hora de evaluar su impacto ambiental.

Por tal motivo la ciudad y el condado decidieron llevar en marcha un programa el cual se enfoca en canjear las llantas por dinero a la hora de ser entregadas en un centro de acopio localizado en Refurban en 1029 Florida Street.

El éxito fue total, ya que se recolectaron mas de 20.000 llantas solo en el primer día, y hay residentes que llevaron hasta 250 para canjearlas por dinero.

Entre los requisitos para poder llevar las llantas al centro de acopio están: una licencia de conducir o identificación válida de Tennessee y tener una placa vehicular de Tennessee.

Aun cuando el valor asignado de cada llanta fue de $1 dólar, hubo quienes hicieron fila durante la madrugada para poder entregar los neumáticos.

Hubo decepcionados del programa por no recibir de inmediato el dinero, ya que hay que esperar algunos días, pero el beneficio para la ciudad combatiendo la onmipresente basura, ya se puede apreciar en las calles.

For this reason the city and the county decided to carry out a program which focuses on exchanging the tires for money at the time of delivery at a collection center located at Refurban at 1029 Florida Street.

The success was total, since more than 20,000 tires were collected only on the first day, and there are residents who took up to 250 to exchange them for money.

Among the requirements to be able to take the tires to the collection center are: a valid driver’s license or identification of Tennessee and have a Tennessee license plate.

Even though the assigned value of each tire was $ 1, there were those who lined up at dawn to be able to deliver the tires.

There were disappointed in the program for not receiving the money immediately, since we have to wait a few days, but the benefit for the city fighting the everywhere present garbage, can already be appreciated in the streets.
