Heard says Depp slapped, kicked her on flight

Los Angeles, US, May 5 (EFE).- Actress Amber Heard said Thursday that her ex-husband Johnny Depp slapped and kicked her during a flight after assailing her about working with James Franco on set of “The Adderall Diaries.”

According to Heard during her second day of testimony in a Virginia court, Depp had been drinking and doing drugs before the flight from Boston to Los Angeles in May 2014, during which the actor insistently asked about the nature of her relationship with Franco.

“He called me a slut,” Heard said of the incident, which she said took place in front of other people on board.

The actress then got up from her seat and stopped responding to Depp, after which he hit her, according to her testimony.

‘He sits down in front of me at one point, and because I’m not answering him — I was looking out of the window — and he slaps my face,” she said.

“And his friend is in our proximity. And I — it didn’t hurt me, it didn’t hurt my face, I just felt embarrassed that he’d do that to me in front of people. It was the first time that anything like that had happened in front of somebody,” the actress added.

At another point, when she was walking away from Depp on the flight, she said he kicked her in the back.

“My back is turned to him, and I feel this boot in my back. He just kicked me, in the back. I fell to the floor,” she said.

Heard, 36, spoke for more than five hours during which she reviewed the most bizarre moments of her relationship with Depp, 58, who was also in the room and, although he avoided eye contact with his ex-partner, he sometimes twisted in his seat.

The actress presented photos and audio recordings, such as an audio clip supposedly from the same flight in which the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star is allegedly heard “howling like an animal” and had locked himself in the bathroom and then passed out.

Throughout her statements, both on Thursday and Wednesday, Heard described Depp as a violent man unable to control himself and with serious drug addiction problems.

The actress showed a series of photographs in which Depp appeared passed out on the floor of a hotel room and slumped in chairs.

“He wouldn’t either remember, or he would deny it, or he would accuse me of saying that this had happened when it didn’t. And there was no one to back me up,” she said about why she took the photos.

Towards the end of her testimony, the actress’ lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, asked Heard to tell the jury about Depp allegedly penetrating her with a glass bottle in Australia in 2015.

“I can’t believe I have to do this,” Heard said.

She said she was bent over backwards on a bar and thought he was punching her because she felt pressure on her pubic bone and saw his arm moving. She realized he was using a bottle to penetrate her.

“Johnny had the bottle inside of me and was shoving it inside of me over and over again,” Heard said, adding that she was later bleeding in the bathroom.

Last week, Depp said that Heard threw a vodka bottle at him, which severed the tip of his finger. Heard said she did not witness the injury, and that it came after Depp sexually assaulted her.

Depp’s team accused Heard of delivering “the performance of her life.” He has testified that he has never struck a woman.

Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over an article she wrote in 2018 in which she alluded to herself as a victim of domestic abuse. He denies this, and says the article damaged his career.
