La serie de conciertos gratis de jazz vuelve a Memphis

 

The Free Jazz Concert Series Is Back in Memphis

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — El Levitt Shell y la Memphis Library Foundation (Fundación de Bibliotecas de Memphis) han vuelto a unirse para traer nuevamente este año su temporada de conciertos gratis de jazz, los cuales se llevarán a cabo cada dos viernes a partir del 9 de marzo hasta el 4 de mayo.

Bajo el nombre de “Five Fridays of Free Jazz” (“Cinco Viernes de Jazz Gratis”), la serie musical anual busca construir una comunidad estableciendo y conectando a las audiencias con el jazz.

Cada concierto será realizado a las 6:30 PM en la Biblioteca Central Benjamín L. Hooks, ubicada en el 3030 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38111. Habrá venta de comida y bebidas para el público presente.

“Los conciertos de ‘Five Fridays of Free Jazz’ siempre reciben excelentes críticas de nuestros clientes, que varían en edad y origen étnico, pero que comparten el mismo amor por la música”, dijo el director de las bibliotecas, Keenon McCloy. “Nos encanta tener esta sociedad con el Levitt Shell por la alegría que estos conciertos ofrecen a tantos amantes de la música en Memphis y sus alrededores”.

¤ 6 de abril | The Maguire Twins (Los Gemelos Maguire)

¤ 20 de abril | Southern Comfort Jazz Orchestra (Orquesta de Jazz Southern Comfort)

¤ 4 de mayo | Ekpe and the African Jazz Ensemble (Ekpe y el conjunto de jazz africano)

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — The Levitt Shell and the Memphis Library Foundation have rejoined to bring back this year their season of free jazz concerts, which will be held every other Friday from March 9 to May 4.

Under the name of “Five Fridays of Free Jazz,” the annual musical series seeks to build a community by establishing and connecting audiences with jazz.

Each concert will be held at 6:30 PM at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, located at 3030 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38111. There will be food and beverages available for sale.

“The Five Fridays of Free Jazz concerts always get rave reviews from our customers, who vary in age and ethnicity, but who share the same love for music,” said Director of Libraries, Keenon McCloy. “We love this partnership with the Levitt Shell and the joy these concerts bring to so many music lovers in Memphis and the surrounding areas.”
