Two Memphis Cops Suspended in Police K9 Investigation
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com/LPL) — La policía está investigando si el sargento Robert Covington y el oficial Carl Craig podrían haber cruzado a sus propios perros con perros de la Policía de Memphis para tener cría. MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) — Police are looking into whether Sergeant Robert Covington and Officer Carl Craig might have had their own dogs breed with Memphis Police Dogs. The two, according to the allegations, tried to sell the puppies on line.
Police dogs are very trainable. They have the abilities to detect drugs, or a body, or attack when told. They are a special breed, and therefore can cost a lot of money.
The two officers being investigated are experienced officers.
Carl Craig has been on the force since June of 1995, a total of 24 years.
Sergeant Robert Covington joined the Memphis Police force 29 years ago.
Both have been suspended from their jobs until police finish investigating.
There have been no criminal charges filed, that’s important. No one has been charged with anything, yet. The investigation continues.
