Shooting in Sweden leaves 1 dead, 3 wounded

Stockholm, Jun 10 (EFE).- One person was killed and three others wounded Saturday in a shooting near a shopping mall on the south side of this capital, Swedish authorities said.

Police received a call at 6:13 pm about gunfire in the vicinity of Farsta Centrum and arrived to find that four people had been shot: two 15-year-old boys, a man of 45, and a woman of 65.

One of the adolescents was pronounced dead at the scene and the other three victims were taken to a hospital, Stockholm Police spokesperson Towe Hagg said.

Officers found two of the victims outside the entrance to the Farsta Centrum metro station.

Two suspects, identified as males in their 20s. were apprehended after a police pursuit on the E4 motorway.

Swedish daily Aftonbladet said it had received reports that the shooters used automatic weapons.

The two adults struck by bullets were apparently passers-by, according to Hagg.

Numbers on the shell-casing markers laid down at the scene by the police forensics team indicate that dozens of shots were fired.
