Officer Arrested After Hot Dog Assault at Regional Medical Center
MEMPHIS, TN (LPL/WREG) — Un policía de Memphis fue arrestado luego de ser acusado de agredir a una mujer por un hot dog.
Según el informe policial, la víctima estaba de servicio como personal técnico médico cuando fue al evento policíaco en el Centro Médico Regional. Los empleados estaban haciendo una comida al aire libre, por lo que ella preguntó si podía tomar un hot dog. Según los informes, un empleado le dijo que sí, mientras que el oficial Ralph Confer le dijo que no.
La víctima dijo que se retiró del evento policíaco pero regresó poco tiempo después. Nuevamente, ella preguntó si podía tener un hot dog y un empleado le dijo que sí. Cuando estaba preparando un plato, la víctima dijo que Confer entró en la sala de descanso y le dio un golpe con el pan del hot dog, diciéndole que no podía comer nada.
Mientras intentaba “acorralarla por la puerta trasera”, supuestamente Confer tomó a la mujer por los brazos, lo que hizo golpearse en la cabeza con algunos gabinetes. Luego la arrojó al suelo, le puso una rodilla en la espalda y la esposó, dijo la víctima.
Luego la colocaron en la celda de detención femenina por un tiempo antes de que el supervisor viniera a buscarla.
La víctima fue tratada por un hematoma en la parte superior de su cabeza, contusiones en varias partes de su cuerpo y dolor.
Confer fue arrestado el martes y acusado de asalto agravado.

MEMPHIS, TN (WREG) — A Memphis police officer was arrested after he was accused of assaulting a woman over a hot dog.
According to the police report, the victim was on duty as a medical technician when she went to police holding at the Regional Medical Center. The employees were having a cookout so she asked if she could have a hot dog. One employee reportedly told her yes, while Officer Ralph Confer told her no.
The victim said she left police holding but returned a short time later. Again, she asked if she could have a hot dog and an employee told her yes. As she was fixing a plate, the victim said Confer walked into the break room and slapped the hot dog bun from her hand, telling her she couldn’t have any food.
While trying to “corral her out the back door,” Confer allegedly picked the woman up by her arms, causing her to hit her head on some cabinets. He then threw her on the ground, placed a knee in her back and handcuffed her, the victim said.
She was then placed in the female holding cell for some time before he supervisor came and got her.
The victim was treated for a hematoma to the top of her head, bruises on several parts of her body and soreness.
Confer was arrested on Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault.
