Man Charged for Stealing Car With Infant Inside, Dyersburg Police Say

DYERSBURG, TN (WMC) — Dyersburg police reported that a man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing a car with an infant in the vehicle.
Demite Warren, 29, is charged with theft of vehicle, kidnapping, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, evading arrest, and vandalism.
Police say the stolen vehicle was being followed by the owner of the vehicle, who is also the grandfather of the child. The vehicle wrecked on Parr Avenue just before officers arrived at the scene.
Officials say officers acted fast to ensure the safety of the child and apprehended Warren after a brief chase on foot.

DYERSBURG, TN (LPL/WMC) — La policía de Dyersburg informó que un hombre fue arrestado el martes por supuestamente robar un automóvil con un bebé en el vehículo.
Demite Warren, de 29 años, está acusado de robo de vehículo, secuestro, peligro imprudente, abandono de la escena de un accidente, evasión del arresto y vandalismo.
La policía dice que el vehículo robado estaba siendo seguido por el dueño del vehículo, quien también es el abuelo del niño. El vehículo se estrelló en Parr Avenue justo antes de que los oficiales llegaran al lugar.
Las autoridades dicen que actuaron rápidamente para garantizar la seguridad del niño y detuvieron a Warren después de una breve persecución a pie.
