At least 243 minors killed in Russian invasion of Ukraine

Kyiv, May 30 (EFE).- At least 243 minors have been killed in Ukraine since the Russian invasion began on 24 February, the Ukrainian Attorney General’s Office reported on Monday.

An additional 444 minors have been wounded, the data added.

The Prosecutor’s Office said that the actual figures are considerably higher, as information was yet to be corroborated from certain places where heavy fighting has taken place.

Most of the casualties were recorded in the eastern Donetsk region where at least 156 children were killed, followed by Kyiv (116) and Kharkiv (109).

The heavy Russian shelling of civilian areas across Ukraine has damaged 1,888 educational institutions, including 180 that were completely destroyed, data showed. EFE
