Overton Park Conservancy Hosts Park Day and Science Fair

MEMPHIS, TN (Localmemphis.com/LPL) — Overton Park fue el centro de la ciencia y la diversión.

Overton Park Conservancy se asoció con la Universidad de Memphis, Rhodes College y Christian Brothers University para organizar el Día en el Parque y la Feria de Ciencias durante el fin de semana.

Dieron al público la oportunidad de aprender sobre los investigadores que usan la antigua área natural de estado forestal como laboratorio de aprendizaje.

Los ganadores de la competencia se dirigen al campeonato mundial en Columbus, Ohio, en agosto.

The Overton Park Conservancy partnered with the University of Memphis, Rhodes College, and Christian Brothers University to put on the Park Fun Day and Science Fair over the weekend.

It gave people a chance to learn about researchers use the old forest state natural area as a learning lab.

The main event was on the master tree climbing competition.

“They’re testing their skills, they’re simulating our everyday life at work. Most of these guys climb trees for a living, and this is giving them an opportunity to compete and show their skills and be judged for their safety and agility,” said Wes Hopper of the International Society of Arboriculture.

Winners from the competition head to the world championship in Columbus, Ohio in August.
