Israel blames Islamic Jihad for explosion that killed 500 in Gaza

Jerusalem, Oct 17 (EFE).- The Israeli army said Tuesday that the explosion that killed 500 Palestinians in a Gaza hospital was due to a failed rocket launch into Israel by militiamen from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) group.

An Israeli army spokesman said that “several intelligence sources indicate that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed launch of the rocket that hit the hospital”. EFE
