Su show, llamado “BENISE’S Fuego!

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Famous guitarist Roni Benise will be performing at the Halloran Centre on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 7:30 p.m.

Known as “The Prince of the Spanish Guitar,” Benise takes viewers (people of all ages, cultures, and musical origins) on a romantic and exotic journey of music and dance that celebrates the fire, passion, and spirit of Spain.

His show, called “BENISE’S Fuego! Spirit of Spain” – like his latest album, “Fuego” -, is a musical adventure that includes a mix of Cuban Salsa with Spanish Flamenco, as well as Gypsy violin, African tribal drums, Argentine Tango, Parisian Waltz, and Brazilian Samba. It also has Brazilian Samba dancers and percussionists, among other circus performers; all of this accompanied by a brilliant theatrical lighting to create an unforgettable experience.

“This show is a celebration of music, love, and life … It’s a show that concentrates on Spain and the fans of Spanish guitar (with classics like ‘Granada,’ ‘Malaguena,’ and ‘Asturias’),” said the virtuoso guitarist and American composer, who considers himself as a bohemian with a little bit of Gypsy blood.

From his beginnings as an artist, even when he started playing on the streets of Los Angeles, Benise has been an eternal admirer of Spanish guitar and Flamenco. “The Spanish guitar and the idea of escaping to Spain, the romance of Flamenco dancing and the whole genre is what really captured me, and I just fell in love with it,” stated the artist in an exclusive interview with La Prensa Latina.

His music is a fusion of cultural styles and Latin rhythms with elements of rock. They are songs that capture the expressive Spanish guitar arrangements that stem from influences around the world, taking listeners to culturally rich destinations such as Spain, Africa, Brazil, the Mediterranean, Cuba, India, and Egypt.

“I’m always inspired by places I’ve traveled,” said Benise, “so I’ll try to capture the essence and beauty of the different places in my melodies. It’s truly like painting on air–creating colors and lush soundscapes that take people (and me) away to a safe place with no prejudice and no boundaries.”

Currently, Benise is working on his fourteenth album, which is expected to be released next year.
