Kevin Spacey to face seven new sexual assault charges in UK

London, Nov 16 (EFE).- Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey is to be charged with a further seven cases of sexual assault against a man between 2001 and 2004, the United Kingdom’s Crown Prosecution Service said Wednesday.

Back in July, the 63-years-old actor pleaded not guilty before the Old Bailey court in central London to five sexual assault charges against three men in the UK between 2005 and 2013.

The new charges include three of indecent assault, three of sexual assault, and another of

causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, according to the CPS.

“The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr. Spacey are active and that he has the right to a fair trial,” said Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS Special Crime Division.

Spacey has also faced charges in New York, where actor Anthony Rapp accused him of sexually assaulting him in 1986 when he was 14 years old. The trial came to an end in October after the court dismissed Rapp’s allegations. EFE
