La Biblioteca Benjamin L. Hooks celebrará su festival Bookstock 2018
Benjamin Hooks Library to Host Bookstock 2018, the 8th Annual Memphis Area Authors’ Festival
MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — La Biblioteca Central Benjamin L. Hooks tendrá su octavo Festival Anual de Autores de Memphis este año, pero con un tema nuevo: “Acceso Abierto Para Todos”. El evento tendrá lugar el sábado, 28 de abril, de 11 AM a 3 PM en el 3030 Poplar Avenue.
También se contará con la exhibición de la vida y las obras del Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Las conferencias principales incluyen: la personalidad de la radio, Michael Baisden; el activista Wayne Weigand y la autora Emily Yellin.
Las actividades para todas las edades incluyen: la presentación de 50 autores locales, la exhibicion de esculturas “Voices”en la galería Goodwyn, coros locales y espectáculos de danza contemporánea, música en vivo, camiones de comida, artista de globos, pinta caritas, cuentos bilingües, arte y manualidades y actividades de CLOUD901 Teen Adventures.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) —The Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library will have its eighth annual Memphis Area Authors’ Festival with a new theme this year: “Open Access to All.” The event will take place on Saturday, April 28, from 11 AM to 3 PM at 3030 Poplar Avenue.
The life and works of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will be a special feature at the exhibit.
Keynote speakers include: radio personality Michael Baisden, activist Wayne Weigand, and author Emily Yellin.
Activities for all ages include: 50 local authors and authors treasure hunt, “Voices” sculpture exhibit at the Goodwyn gallery, local choirs and contemporary dance shows, live music, food trucks, balloon artist, face painting, bilingual stories, arts and crafts, and activities from CLOUD901 Teen Adventures.
