LeBron becomes 1st NBA player with 30K points, 10K rebounds, 10K assists

Chicago, US, Mar 13 (EFE).- LeBron James on Sunday became the only player in NBA history with more than 30,000 career points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 assists.

LeBron was only two short of the exclusive 10,000 assists club and he achieved them in the second quarter of Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

His 10,000th assist came on a cross-court pass to Carmelo Anthony for a three-pointer.

LeBron, 37, has played 19 seasons in the NBA and won four NBA titles, two with the Miami Heat, one with the Cleveland Cavaliers and one with the Lakers.

He is one of only seven NBA players to have reached 30,000 points, along with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki and Wilt Chamberlain, and one of only three — including Abdul-Jabbar and Malone — to go over 35,000.

“King James” also reached 10,000 rebounds on Jan. 19 and is 39th of all time in rebounds, according to NBA.

James is also the third highest scorer, with 36,793 before Sunday’s game.

He is 136 points behind Karl Malone, a goal he can achieve this season, and 1,595 behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, whom he should be able to surpass next season. EFE
