Recomendaciones y sugerencias
Existe una amplia variedad de investigaciones sobre el tema de la lectura. Siempre he pensado que hay ciertas condiciones que deben cumplirse si deseamos que nuestros niños lean. La primera es poner los libros al alcance de ellos y la segunda que nos vean leer, no importa qué: el periódico, libros, revistas, manuales, etc.
En casi todos los países existen organizaciones e iniciativas destinadas a promover y fomentar la lectura. Comparto con ustedes un link en el que encontrarán valiosas sugerencias y recomendaciones para estimular en sus hijos el deseo de leer.

Por el hecho de vivir en un país distinto al que nacimos, es importante tratar de poner a los niños en contacto con autores latinoamericanos. Mi recomendación es que visiten la biblioteca pública más cercana y pregunten por los libros infantiles en español, también pueden hacerlo en las librerías.

Recommendations and suggestions
There is a wide variety of research on the subject of reading. I’ve always thought that there are certain conditions that must be met if we want our children to read. The first is to put the books available to them and the second is that they can see us reading, no matter what: the newspaper, books, magazines, manuals, etc.
In most countries there are organizations and initiatives to promote and encourage reading. I would like to share with you a link where you will find valuable suggestions and recommendations to stimulate their children’s desire to read.

By the fact of living in a different country than the one where we were born, it is important to try to put children in touch with Latin American authors. My recommendation is to visit the nearest public library and ask for children’s books in Spanish; you can do the same thing in bookstores.
