MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Malco dio a conocer recientemente cuáles serán las películas que formarán parte de su ya tradicional “Festival de Cine Infantil durante el Verano”, que será llevado a cabo del 5 de junio al 1 de agosto del 2018.
Siendo muy reconocido por presentar algunas de las películas más taquilleras del mundo -para toda la familia-, el “Festival de Cine Infantil de Malco durante el Verano” (Malco’s Kids Summer Film Fest) contará esta vez con las siguientes producciones cinematográficas:
¤ The Baby Boss (5 y 6 de junio)
¤ The Chronicles of Narnia (12 y 13 de junio)
¤ Captain Underpants, The First Epic Movie (19 y 20 de junio)
¤ The Prince of Egypt (26 y 27 de junio)
¤ Trolls (3 y 4 de julio)
¤ Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Long Haul (10 y 11 de julio)
¤ Ferdinand (17 y 18 de julio)
¤ Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! (24 y 25 de julio)
¤ The Princess Bride (31 de julio y 1 de agosto)
Además de entretener a los niños, dicho festival de cine anual de Malco recauda fondos para hospitales infantiles del Medio Sur -una gran parte de las ganancias va dirigida a los hospitales elegidos cada año. En esta ocasión, los hospitales que se verán beneficiados son: LeBonheur Children’s Hospital (Memphis, TN), Arkansas Children’s Hospital (Little Rock, AR), Kosair Children’s Hospital (Owensboro, KY), Monroe E. Carroll Children’s Hospital (Vanderbilt), Batson Children’s Hospital (Jackson, MS) y el Children’s Hospital en New Orleans, LA.
Como tal, el “Festival de Cine Infantil de Malco durante el Verano” fue creado hace 19 años aproximadamente con el fin de entretener y retribuir algo a la comunidad en forma de gratitud. Además, es uno de los eventos más importantes en la región que atrae a más gente cada año que pasa. En el 2017, Malco Theatres logró recaudar la suma de $65.000 con este festival.
Cada película estará en cartelera por dos días a la semana (martes y miércoles), con una función a las 10 AM. El valor de las entradas es de $2 por persona. Debido a que éste es un evento muy especial, las entradas se venden individualmente y no se pueden combinar con el paquete para fiestas del cine.

Being well-known for featuring some of the world’s highest grossing films – for the whole family -, this year’s Kids Summer Film Fest will show the following movies:

In addition to entertaining children, Malco’s annual Kids Summer Film Fest raises funds for children’s hospitals in the Mid-South – a large part of the proceeds go to the hospitals that are chosen each year. On this occasion, the hospitals that will be benefited are: LeBonheur Children’s Hospital (Memphis, TN), Arkansas Children’s Hospital (Little Rock, AR), Kosair Children’s Hospital (Owensboro, KY), Monroe E. Carroll Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Batson Children’s Hospital (Jackson, MS) and Children’s Hospital in New Orleans, LA.
Malco’s annual Kids Summer Film Fest was created approximately 19 years ago as a special way to give back to the community. Furthermore, it is one of the most important events in the region, attracting more people every year. Malco Theatres was able to raise $65,000 last year through this festival.
Each film will be in theaters for two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday), with shows beginning at 10 AM. Tickets are $2 per person. Since this is a very special event, tickets are sold individually and cannot be combined with Malco’s party packages.
