Sports Desk, Jan 30 (EFE).- Colombian winger Luis Diaz joined Liverpool on a transfer from Porto, both clubs announced on Sunday.
“The 25-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the Reds after passing a medical (checkup) and finalizing personal terms,” the Reds said in a statement without providing financial details.
Porto said that the player is joining the Premier League club for 45 million euros, which could rise to 60 million.
Eighty percent of the player’s rights belong to Porto and the rest belongs to the Colombian club Barranquilla, where he made his professional debut.
“I’m very happy to sign for Liverpool,” he said according to Liverpool’s Twitter account.
