MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Students at Treadwell Elementary School and Treadwell Middle School were pleasantly surprised on Monday, August 8, when they arrived on campus to begin the new school year, as they were welcomed by various personalities from the Memphis community as a gesture of encouragement and support so they can start their classes on a positive note.
Some of these personalities were Steven Kuhn, Michele Pope, Richelle Jones, Reyna Cruz, Abasi McKinzie, Rosalva King, DeAnna Tatum-Cross, Kenya Gray, Guadalupe Reyes, and Jane Woods.
In a press release sent by MSCS, the school staff thanked these individuals for such a noble gesture.
“(From Memphis Shelby County Schools) thank you for all your efforts to be with the students and teachers of these two schools, and for spreading your enthusiasm so that they have a happy and full school year in their learning. The students have noticed that they are important.”
This activity took place in 96 schools that belong to Memphis Shelby County Schools.

MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Los estudiantes de Treadwell Elementary School y Treadwell Middle School recibieron el lunes, 8 de agosto, una sorpresa agradable al llegar a los planteles educativos para comenzar el nuevo año escolar, pues varias personalidades de la comunidad de Memphis les dieron la bienvenida como un gesto de ánimo y de apoyo para comenzar sus clases de una manera positiva.

En un comunicado de prensa de MSCS, el personal de las escuelas dio las gracias por el gesto tan noble de estas personas.
“Las Escuelas del Condado de Shelby les agradecen todo su esfuerzo por estar con los estudiantes y maestros de estas dos escuelas, y también por contagiar su entusiasmo para que ellos (los estudiantes) tengan un año escolar feliz y pleno en su aprendizaje. Los alumnos se han dado cuenta de que son importantes”.
Esta actividad se llevó a cabo en 96 escuelas que pertenecen a Memphis Shelby County Schools.
